He is risen!

Happy Easter to you all!

Good to be back here and I must apologize for the long silence. It wasn't intentional.
Wonder how you're spending yours at your end but I sure hope it'll be swell still fully aware of the reason for the season.
Well, I would recommend you watch a movie like 'Passion of The Christ' or read a book from my best author, Max Lucado. I was reading one of his books yesterday and I must say, he has a creative way of expressing his love for God with words and sort of making you feel the same. Book's titled 'Applause of Heaven'. I think this will be the 1st book I've read over 3 times and each time always seems new and exciting. I hope to be this creative.

Well, if you're like me and would be indoors with famille, then I'd say have fun too. Either ways, we should keep in mind that Jesus had fleshy tendencies like us while on earth yet withstood all forms of temptation, submitted to the will of the Father and became a pathway to our Salvation. Now that's awesome.

Whatever you're going through, He went through already so just get ready to let go and feel the April breeze blow as you cling to the old rugged cross.

Shoutout to a friend: Happy birthday Toju!

Slow and Steady

That's the way I'm playing it this days. No need to rush. I particularly have been out of tune with some things in my environment and it just gives you the creeps when things move too fast.

Okay I'm supposed to submit a write-up by the end of this week and I haven't written shin-gbai (local word for 'Nada'/nothing) at all. So, I'm taking it all out on my environment cuz she hasn't given me any inspiration at all. hehehe...Projects, Deadlines, Decisions...on and on and on.

Thank you Lord for life and sanity. So ama take it slow and steady cuz sometimes, the best way to catch-up fast is to slow-down...hmmm...what a paradox.
Slow and Steady implies caution, calculation and precision juxtaposed with heavenly connection (you can't rule that out you know). I'm having a Matrix moment here...world on slow-mo...with me dodging stress bullets, jumping over skyscrapers and landing with a dignified full split on peaceful grounds. Breathe in...Breathe out. Well these are just some random thoughts from a tired head. *yawn*

Enjoy the rest of your week and get ready Nigeria for this weekend (April 16th)...Nigeria Decides!

Election Weekend 1

Tomorrow marks a very important event speaking of the Nigerian Elections which as described by a respectable Nigerian in diaspora would either lead us to progression or retrogression.

On my own part, I particularly do not think I'll vote in the House of Reps/Senatorial election but as for the Presidential and Gubernatorial, count me all in.
Well in a place like Lagos, its glaring that Fashola is the man for the job and that's my pick but for presidential...hmmm! I can tell you plainly that I have over 3 different choices but I know of a thing that I'll vote only one of them(duuhhhh!). hahaha...Okay the truth is I haven't made up my mind but come April 16th, one man will stand. One man...One decision...One desire.(I love being dramatic, yea I know).

So go all out and VOTE!!! Your vote sure counts. Have a nice voting weekend.
VOTE!

Plenty Stories + Good News

Hi there, its been a fassst week o. The way this year is rolling by is just amazing...I mean...its April already. Good Lord!

Well, its good on the other hand.

Okay, there's plenty to talk about. Firstly, some days ago I planned to post something here which I actually did, then I had some technical issues which I tried resolving by refreshing my page...and voila!...all was gone.
hmm...Plenty Stories, I hear you say.

But no qualms, you haven't missed a thing cuz I'll fill you in with the nitty-gritties...@ moi frequency...*wink*

Now to the good news...mikesfrequency will be spreading its tentacles to a wider audience! Good news indeed right. Well let's just keep fingers crossed!
Also part of the good news is an invitation to write for a blog I respect so much...talking of Afrosays . Yup! you should bookmark it. I just hope I can keep up but then again, the frequency is never jammed! Thanks to God.
As long as he gives, I deliver!

Shout-out to a friend: Happy Birthday Tobi Babs!

Enjoy the rest of your week! Mwah! (eeewww)

Milz you all...

Hey I'm back on track like a train,
Arranging those words like a sage,
To say I don't miss you all is a fib,
But I breathe...relief...my words I sow as a seed.

Okay, where do we start from...? Nigeria is heating up election-wise as tension build-up is at its thresholds. Campaigns run like daily aerobic sessions, Incognito Manifestos, Dramatic Debates and the list is endless...
This is by my observation one of the most publicized in terms of awareness and various movements against unfairness during the elections.

Over to Japan now, the focus has shifted from the Earthquake cum Tsunami to the Radioactive emissions from the Fukushima-Daiichi Plant. God be with the people of Japan. (Amen).

One thing has been of concern to me of late and its life generally. I won't go into much details but its the fact that life isn't fair. People are born with simple minds only to grow to develop complex minds that they themselves don't understand.
One misconception is that its often misconstrued as maturity. When we were little, we would smile genuinely, play with sand, quarrel and forgive on the spot...but with age comes so much complexity. We find it hard to enjoy the subtle good of life. Maybe life is complex...yea...maybe it can only be understood by the simple.

May God help us all. Have a lovely week ahead!

Pray for Japan

Its really a sad phenomenon, talking of the prevalence of natural disasters around the world.
Recently was New Zealand on Feb 22 this year and now Japan on March 11th. We could keep blabbing about man's activities and how his actions are affecting the environment but that is not the solution.

As at now, while following the news, I learnt that it has actually shifted the earth on its own axis by 10cm and also moved the main island's of Japan 2.4m east. Now tell me, you're not affected in this. More so, natural disasters not only affect the affected country's economy but the world at large. Else, how would you explain World Oil prices rising due to the Libya Civil protest.

It sad that countries that don't even have natural disasters create disasters for themselves.
Well if you think you don't have a say in this, then you're wrong!
So here's the thing...Pray for Japan 3 minutes daily and pray towards Nigeria's elections for 3 minutes too.
Spread the message round! 6 minutes of your time is all you have to give. Its worth it!

Latest Happening

Hi there, after much silence he decides to write again. Yep... speaking of me.
Okay what's up in blogsville? Um...Okay...Down to the business.

Firstly, sorry this is coming late but happy International Womens' Day in arrears! *raises hat*. To the mothers and women of our time, I say cheers! *clanking glasses*.

So check out my latest note written out of the deep depths of solitude which is a very fertile condition for serious thoughts. Just that you hardly get a lot of that in this busy times where so many things are competing for one's time.

Its a note to read and I'm not sure if I've written this serious in a lil while. As the inspiration came, I wrote.
So enjoy as you read.

Overdrive

These days most of my posts are usually one-worded to describe what's going on at this end. Okay as for today's own, it explains itself fully.

By the way, Happy New Month and I wish you the very best. hmm...I actually haven't released the other poem I told you about in the last post + I also wrote another piece (funny one too).

Hope to release it for your viewing sometime soon. Just a few tips for the new month ahead:

Tip 1: Review your plans for the year, have you been faithful to them? If not, make amends and don't beat yourself up.
A number of times, we get so focused on achieving things that we forget to live the proper life God wants which leads us to the next tip.

Tip 2: Live your life: I could guess you have that 'like duuhh, who doesn't do that' in your mind. Well, my point is, enjoy everyday and don't live on the opinion of others.

Okay, this is not one of them, '10 Tips for living' kind of posts *laugh* buh I just wanted to drop these few.
Have a nice day ahead!

Quick one

As the title reflects, I just decided to drop a quick one before I rush back into what I'm doing.
Hey Thank God its Friday!

So much has happened in just one week and its scary trying to keep up with targets and deadlines sometimes.
Had this very inspiring/productive chat with a frien yesterday and it really made me know I've got to buckle up!

So I decided to also share that with you. We all have the same time on our hands. 24hrs; no more, no less.
Its amazing how sometimes we waste it on unnecessary things of this world but its good to know that you're reading this. I hope you'll make amends and use your time wisely to create that awesome future you crave for, still fully aware of the fact that God is the sole force behind your/my existence. I wish you an awesome weekend.

Also I read this captivating piece which I strongly recommend. It's a piece by Lowla Dee a popular blogger and its titled, 'Monster Within'.
